Explanation / Answer
Wireless spectrum
Wireless spectrum consist of the frequency band and the electromagnetic radiations. In wireless spectrum we have various frequency ranges. Different ranges of wirelss spectrum frequency is used for different types of communication. There are some set of rules that describes that which frequency range is used for which type of communication, it may differ from country to country also. The range of wireless
spectrum is upto 300 GHZ.
Interference distort and weaken a wireless signal
In case of wireless signals, signals gets distort and become weak because of different reasons. And one of them is the interference. As we all know that wireless signals are carried by electromagnetic waves, that is why wireless signals are effected by noise that is electromagnetic interference which make signal weaker and distort it. Distortion of signal in wireless mediuam is some how similar to wired connection noise problem.
Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS)
In a wireless mediuam , radio signals are the effective way to perform the communication. Radio signals are transfered from sender to the receiver. In Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum, radio signals are transfered from sender to receiver through a various frequency channels. Signals are hopped from one frequency channel to other, and this hopping is known to the sender as well as the receiver. The benefit of hopping is that, interference on a perticular frequency channel will not effect the signal for longer period of time, as the signal is keep on changing its frequency channel.
Direct-Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS)
Its one of the modulation technique used for the wireless spectrum. here in direct sequence spread spectrum at a sender side, transmitted data is divided into multiple small data and each of these multiple data chunks are assisgned to frequency channels, over which these data chunks are send, and at the receiver side these data chunks get combind.
