Keep in mind that all PC’s connect to the LAN at 100 Mbps. Dave runs down to the server room and discovers that the server has a network connection that supports 10 Mbps/100 Mbps or 1000 Mbps and it is set on 10 Mbps. He quickly changes the server to use 1000 Mbps. He goes back upstairs and thinks he has solved the performance problem because the traders in NYC tell him that everything is running fast again.
