Explanation / Answer

I am not well versed in meat science, however, were I toanswer this question I would answer false. Why? 1. The digestive system is not a constant proportion ofweight. The digestive system digests food, and then sends it on tothe excretory system. Because of this the weight is not keptconstant due to the fact that it is being moved from the stomach tothe small intestine, etc. 2. Don't really see how you can have a carcass from a liveanimal. A carcass is the leftover remains of a dead animal, not theembodiment of a live one. Note that I am only a senior in high school and probably lackthe experience many other on this site do have. I only hope that Ihave helped you slightly. I am in AP Bio currently but we have notcovered this topic as of yet.
