Q1) which architecture would best suit to implement the above system and why?

Client Server Architecture with Backend Database Integrations will be a best fit for PayRoll Management System because, in this type the employees can record their timecard informations and other informations relating to their payments and these details can be saved in the Databse which can be later used to query employee sepecific payment info for updations. Say an employee opens the windowed application, fills in the timecard details and updates his salary account details. Now all these pieces of information should be stored somewhere, like a Database so that if at a later point in time the same employee wants to update any purchase order or salary details or timecard entry he can do it at ease without having to remember any past details of this previous edits. Also a DB Admin/Management can have a look or generate reports for every salesperson performanace via the statistics stored in DB. So this approach works for both lower and Higher Level of management teams.
