Question

If we separate the clients from the information behind the firewall, how can they access their data or place orders?

Some schools of thought on this matter include establishing virtual local area networks (VLAN) for clients, separated by  your choice of determination, in other words, this could be by amount or frequency of orders, length of time as a customer, region of the country, etc. You then establish multiple firewalls, including the main one and then one for each VLAN, so that any access is limited.

Explanation / Answer

Solution:

If we separate the clients from the information behind the firewall, how can they access their data or place orders?

In this case, a protocol, rule or an authentication system needs to be defined which will first authenticate the customer then allow him/her to access the data.

So based on that, a VLAN can be created which can be categorized as stated above to provide the access to the customers to place the orders.
