Question

Retention of minority women in the workplace is becoming more and more difficult. Not finding an influential mentor in the system who is willing to help them, lacking of an informal network of colleagues, lack of role models, and the lack of high visibility projects result in dissatisfaction experienced at work. When this occurs, the minority women ultimately decide to leave the organization. Of course, not all minority women quit. Only those who have the wherewithal (e.g., resources and self confidence) to start their own business leave the organization. 1. identify the different variables (independent, dependent moderating, etc) and identify the relationship between them using a diagram. 2. develop the problem statement. 3. formulate 6 (six) hypothesis please answer fully. thank you in advance

Explanation / Answer

Reducing employee dropout -

Any employee join organization for financial benefit & for work satisfaction . But employee find themselves to be unrest /uncomforted or not satisfied then most employee search for alternate options. But due to limitation & require regular earning source all of then do not left job. But if any employee dare to start his own venture then he may quit the job.

Number of variable that directly affect work satisfaction involve Internal environment of employee viz self mental and physical capacity which can be improve. But factor which external environment are beyond control. When employee observe external environmental factor are un wontedly influence with internal factor then employee find discomfort to work. When good work culture get maintain by employer then there is possibility employee may feal good and surv organization for long duration.

In given case is typical for minority woman. First influencing factor is lack of proper guidance. Here is role of mentor, he keep constant watch and assign scheduled to get work done wel in time.

Second influencing factor - informal network, this is beyond scope of employer. And as being woman candidate from minority, its her own responsibility

Lack of role model- Basic methodologies of work is everywhere same , very few parameter change according to input. this factor is also beyond scope of employer.

Lack of visibility - This is responsibility of employee to study all projection properly and get clear any doubt

Thus in above case all factor are beyond control of employer and if employer wants to reduce drop out ratio he need to recruit woman candidate from minority then he must develop some contractual binding along with penalty clause. And select employee who hold certain experience of surviving & face to adverse conditions.

1. Identify different variable- a. independent b.dependent

Independent variable are assume to be fixed in nature & dependent variable varia according to situation , that is variable parameter are conditional . Where as independent parameter are unconditional. In above problem

Factor responsible for retardation of interest

1.mentor

2.informal network

3.lack of role model

4.lack of vision

5.alternative earning source

Thus employee must develop her internal environmental factor if wants to enjoy assign task, else environmental factor are always there which undauntedly influence and develop discomfort.
