Question
This is just an Microsoft Excel question.
In my lab report,
I have a linear graph with 3 dots on the graph (means there was only 3 tries we did it for this lab).
I have 3 points in linear on the excel.
First attempt,
I made the incorrect range setup for the y and x axis( I used $ sign also). I got the best fit line from it using excel.
(Best fit line Eg for linear equations: 0.623x+68.2)
Second attempt,
With the same exact data from my first attempt I redo the graph and fix the range on both y and x axis.
I realized my axis were not showing so i fix the range on both x and y axis. ( I took $ sign off also). Though, my best fit line doesnt not change.
( which means I got the same, 0.623x+68.2)
My professor said it's incorrect and I lost 3 points for that.
I just redid it and it still doesn't change.
Is it supposed to change?
Or is my professor incorrect saying that it is supposed to change?
I lost 3 points for that please explain so if i am correct i could get my points back from her.
All I did was just let the excel give me best-fit line.
Explanation / Answer
As per my knowledge it is correct . Ask your professor to rechech it again. The $ sign is not needed in the answer , the answer is correct without the $ sign.
