Explanation / Answer
The Emergency department in a hospital is the most busy and also the department with maximum unrest and chaos. Emergency department deals with patients who require acute care without proper appointment and this occurs generally in accidents. As the process is unplanned, therefore an initial care is taken to prevent deterioration of the condition and then transfer the patient to its respective unit as per the requirement. This department should be equipped with efficient and eligible attendants which include doctors, nurses and also the facility members because time is very crucial here any delay in the process may result fatal and lead to a huge loss. As mentioned operations also has to very much efficient and quick in order to resolve the issues.
The emergency department of a hospital experiences various cases and most of them require legal intervention and also needs approval and documents from the from the respective authorities and previously a patient was not admitted without these documents but things have changed and now priority is always given to the patient and the treatment is started before the documents are provided because there has been instances where a patient has died due to the formalities and the government has amended this law based on the this. As the director it is my duty to ensure that these things are carried out as per the regulations and as this is something new the administrative staff and the nursing staff will face challenges and may resist the case but it has to be implemented as soon as possible because in order to develop the regulations of the government has to be abided and there should be no exceptions.
The administrative department, Nursing department and any other department involved in the process has to be made aware of the new regulations forwarded by the government and the impact it will have in their routine, schedule and working process. It should be conveyed that the organizations as always has banked on the workforce and there is no exception this time expecting participation and cooperation from the staff. When a patient enters into the emergency department there is a process of approvals through which the patient has to go and that was quite stringent but now the documentation is not priority therefore each and every department should communicate and collaborate between each other to avoid discrepancies and delay. The basic objective of the staffs should be betterment of the organization and it demands active participation from each and every one of them and if any issue or queries crop up thatt should be discussed with the management. The goal is to accept the regulations and strive for organizational development and it demands the above mentioned activities which I need to convey and also incorporate efficiently.
