Software development or system development is very important in software programming. The code of ethics for a student professional organization in computer science is also for the future programming and computer enabled future engineers and computer experts and programmers. Making and developing software is not only a technical scenario, there are ethical decisions which are made during development of the software which also affects people's lives.

Ethics in system development deals with the ethics that the system developer or designer needs to have regarding confidentiality of functionality and data of the system and its function. Ethics are also expected by the programmer to follow and apply guidelines and follow rules, when developing the software. This brings trust to the software users and sets a standard for the software product. These are the good practices, and attitudes which are right when creating software rather than wrong decisions.

Delicate and critical decisions taken on the design and development of the software is of prime importance in following ethics in system development. One such example, which is critical in case of following ethical guidelines in case of system development is a health care system. Health care system is a critical system as it has got data that is sensitive to users and is confidential. So ethics in this health care system is of prime importance and has to be followed in every step by the programmer or developer.

In a health care system the software developed must be followed by the ethics so that the software follows the ethics guidelines and is robust because of the ethics followed by the programmers. The programmers will do utmost to make a robust system and protect customer data in the system. As health care applications will be critical software, so this type of ethical practice is required.

d) Any program should be ethical and should have major positive effect on the computer methodologies and should not harm anybody

There are of course unique issues in the code of ethics that needs to be addressed for people entering your career such as computer science students who will be computer experts one day - they should not support hacking into other's computers, protect privacy of other and respect it, protect copyrighted content and many others.

We should release a code of ethics keeping in mind the various ethical issues that we face in the current scenario and we should access that what should be the best outcome of every situation so that nobody's interests are harmed.
