Loyal employees are torn and distressed, and younger generation employees seem excited about it. Smith's very concerned because the company has managed to stay union-free since the company was started. A union takeover could really affect the company's future plans and throw it into chaos. Smith wants management to be prepared in case activity ultimately starts up.

Ethics is the guidelines which tell us that what is good or bad for our existence or in terms of conduct and action in the social setting. It will be also a part to consideration in terms of ethical perspectives of IR.

The social and cultural heritage of a country also influence the organization and hence the industrial relation with ethical implications.
