Opinion 1:
Java was built to support object-oriented paradigm, although it is not completely object-oriented, another objective of java language is to make it in such a way so that there are as few implementation dependencies as possible.
Re-usability is also one of the powers of java; it has vast libraries built to make it high level, but not as large as the python.
Basically, it requires java run environment in your computer to run, Eclipse, Netbeans etc IDEs are used to code in this language.
Opinion 2:
Python is completely built on the purpose to make the code easy to read and as high level as possible, It is also object-oriented and has the very large set of libraries which can be reused in the codes.
python has it's own IDE named as python, PyCharm and NetBeans are others which are really good.
