Question
I have a paper for a MARKETING class: Key Environmental Factors Situation Analysis for Amazon.
A summary of the whole project is clarified below. Howwver, I just need to analysis of the six key environmental factors listed below.
An important part of a marketing manager’s responsibilities is to understand thoroughly the present situation. This includes the environment in which the company competes, the company’s strengths and weaknesses, and its external opportunities and threats. Only after this has been accomplished can a viable marketing plan be developed. Too often, a marketing manager jumps into the marketing mix before conducting a careful analysis that should precede product, pricing, promotion or placement. The object of this paper is to prepare the careful analysis of the present situation and provide thoughtful recommendations.
The six key Environmental factors are listed below:
The Cooperative Environment - parties who have a vested interest in the firm accomplishing its objectives (i.e. suppliers, resellers, other departments, employees).
The competitive environment - other firms in the industry that rival the organization for resources and sales (plus threat of substitute products)
The economic environment - macro economy
The social environment - general cultural and social traditions, norms and values
The political environment - attitudes and reactions of general public, social and business critics, and government (BBB).
The legal environment - Federal, state and local legislation to protect business and consumers.
