Difference between forces for change and planned change:

Forces of change are changes made in the organziation due to external factors like nature of work force, technology, economic shocks, social trends ,competition, world politics etc. These changes are forcefully made in the organization due to sorrounding environmental factors.

Planned changes are change made in the organization intentionally and these changes are goal oriented. These changes are made for the benefit of the organzation. The planned changes are made due to internal factors.

Overcome resistance to change:

-Communicating and educating the employees about the change. All level of employees must be explained about the change and the need for the change and how it will benefit them

-If the managers have a positive relationship with the employees then the employees will believe in their managers decision about change and are ready to accept it

-The management have to support the employees and make them commited to the organization so when employees are committed to the organzation they wont fear for the change and will readily accept

-The changes should be implemented fairly and it should not have any negative impact for the employees so if they dont get negative impact they dont fear for the uncertainity

-The employees can be empowered and their suggestions can also be considered for change so that employees also dont feel that they get lost in the organzation

-If the change is communicated clearly then the different perceptions of employees gets cleared about the change

How managers create a culture for change:

-Managers have to encourage experimentation

-They should reward both success and failures and celebrate the mistakes made by employees so that employees get motivated to work in the changing environment

-Employees should be rewarded for the adsence of failures rather than the presence of success

-Managers should encourage employees to suggest new ideas and should recognize failures because failures lead to learning of mistakes which ultimately lead to success

-Employee motivation programs should be organized by managers to make the employees work towards the change
