Question
Storage is a critical component of computing machinery output. Data, information, documents, and media require a protected method of storage that is accessible and well organized for retrieval. While it may be a physical device, we now have the alternatives of using the cloud or a virtual storage site. Each method has specific advantages and disadvantages, including personal and professional preferences. Assignment InstructionsUsing research from the textbook, your readings, or the Internet, write a 1– 2-page paper in which you compare and contrast virtual (for example, in the cloud) versus physical (for example, on-site) storage. Include (at a minimum) a discussion of:
Difficulty of deployment and configuration. Which is more difficult to set up and use?
Differences in cost.
Potential security concerns.

Explanation / Answer
Nowadays the importance of Storage is increasing day by day. Storage means protecting a data, information, documents at secured location and in such a way that you can access readily.
There are two ways of storage
Physical Storage :
It is a piece of equipment where data is stored and read. This may be located onsite in your server room or could be stored at a data center with a trusted vendor. It is owned , maintained and managed by organization staff. An organization setup an IT team to take care of all the requirement for physical server. Notice the following points regarding Physical server management :
Cloud Storage (Virtual Storage):
Virtualization is the act of placing multiple 'Virtual servers' on physical equipment. This allow physical storage server resources to be split between multiple workloads for maximum efficiency and cost savings. It typically occurs in the cloud or on the servers that are owned , maintained and located offsite. Generally organizations hire the hosting vendor who provides secure cloud services. Cloud storage are more secure than Physical storage. Note the following points regarding Cloud Storage management :
From above discussion on Physical and Cloud storage, you can found the physical storage is more difficult to setup and use. There are various equipment is required to setup, maintenance and configuration which cost high. Organization need dedicated IT staff for setup, configuration and maintenance. If we go for cloud storage , we can save on Hardware, Deployment, Utilities, Facilities and Human labour/ talent.
