Another advantage is that senior management will be having better overall imagination of business units and their systems
It is very easier to communicate between different units of business becuase, everyone has access to one common unit.
With this security management will become very easier and updated with a centralized service unit.
By maintaining more application servers, lanck of consistance of systems is created. So that on one enterprise strategy,it will make system easier to implement.

Costs and risks:

There are some disadvantages also exists with the above procesure. Company may lose old units and some necessary data.
Implementing costs.
Organizations cannot build their own IT systems, which could result in processes becomes very complicated
Risk of “architecture police in an ivory tower”.
