Explanation / Answer
1.Wiretapping basically means keeping a watch on the telephonic and internet conversations
by some third party, often by covert means.Passive wiretapping monitors or records the traffic,
while active wiretapping alters or otherwise affects it.Bugging is just another name
for eavesdropping which may involve the placement of a "bug" inside private premises to secretly record conversations. Thus, wiretapping and bugging are related to each other.
2.Internet has along with all its benefits has got its several disadvantages. This is clear
and obvious because it disregards your privacy while you come on the network.
Every conversation that you make through the Internet whether it is email, messaging or even a video/
audio call. These are recorded by the third party and though in an encrypted format,
can be used anytime in the future against you without you being realising it.Because,
in today's world, the fight is for data. Those who owns the data,is the king. So,you share
your data with the world feeling like you are getting popular, but you might get cheated
through the valuable information you share.
3.Data mining is the process of sorting through large data sets to identify patterns
and establish relationships to solve problems through data analysis. Data mining
tools allow enterprises to predict future trends. So,it is an essential process
where intelligent methods are applied to extract data patterns.
Opt-In policy:If a company uses opt-in marketing, then all the consumers related to the
company gives permission to the company to send him information about new products, etc.
or can share the consumer's information with other companies with which the consumer
is in opt-in relationship.
Opt-Out policy:In this marketing policy, the consumer has to exclusively opt-out of receiving
information about the company, its products or services.Till then,he continues to get all
this information.
