While the Global Aviation Industry is booming with more than 24 million flights per year across the globa and very minimal accidents, safety is always an important aspect in this Industry. The biggest challenge that Aviation Industry faces is Security Threats.
Security threats can be of any type like terrorist attacks, lone wolf radicals, or insider threat. As we all know the example of 9/11 WTC attack, there are other threats like personal vendetta someone has. Also on time to time, due to political issues as well the security challenges in Aviation Industry increases. While Industry sure has very high standards of security maintained at all the airports, they are the soft target once cleared through these security checks as very little or no security is available while plane is in air.
Every now and then, Airports are being targeted by the Terrorists, many smugglers also get caught on arrivals but same poses safety concern for violent attacks etc. Thus Security Threats is the biggest challenge that global aviation industry today faces.
