Explanation / Answer
Hackers of today and hackers back then had a very different way of working and mentality. Let us discuss some of these differences. Life of hackers back then was easy as there was very less/no security measures in a network and then could easily break into a system at ease. But hackers of today face real challenges to get into a system as now very strong security system are in place almost everywhere.
Before there were various loopholes in a system, which hackers could easily get into and do its malicious activities easily. However, today as systems are full proof hackers life is harder and finding loop holes has become like finding needle in the haystack.
Earlier hackers used to prefer working individually so that they do not get discovered and fall into trouble. They worked from their home using secret computer systems and other gadgets. Now a days hackers work as a team and they have dedicated departments for each type of expertise. They now function as a single body with fancy names for eg: Anonymous
Anyone could be a hacker earlier with basic loop holes in a system and there was no need to get especial training or knowledge to hack into systems. But today as the system’s got tougher novice people can’t get into it. It takes a knowledgeable and experienced person to hack.
Hackers have become more professional now days, earlier they just were not so.
Earlier most of the hackers were black or grey hat hackers but today this count is less and many are ethical hackers as well.
