l try to insert a new raw to the student table but there is an error as

l did add insert major id to the department table but l am not shore if it is right

As for your question about the error. it must be the size of sex you try to insert "Male" but according to given output "select * from the student;" sex --> "M" so do check your schema of the table whether the size of the sex is appropriate for the varchar "Male"
