Sharp is renowned electronic manufacturing company. It was founded in 1912 in Tokyo. It was founded by Tokuji Hayakawa. Sharp is one the leading manufacturing company of Televisions and mobile phones in Japan. Sharp get his name from the device sharp mechanical pencil invented by Tokuji Hayakawa. In 1964 Sharp developed the first transistor calculator after that in 1996 Sharp also developed first IC based calculator. After this invention in 1973, sharp introduced first LCD based calculator. After the inventions of above electronic item Sharp entered in stereo industry. They made portable cassette player, VCR etc for a very long time. After that in 2004 Sharp heavily invested in LCD panel production plant and at a one time, Sharp was the largest company to making LCD panels of 10th generation.

From 2005 to 2010, Sharp was the largest mobile manufacturing company in Japan. In 2007, Sharp acquired stake in Pioneer Corporation. In 2012, Sharp introduced the largest LED TV of 80 inches. In 2013 sharp developed the most efficient solar cell converting record 44.4% of sun light in electricity. Sharp started to sale 8K resolution TV in 2015.

Sharp is one of the most innovative companies in the world. They always try to make something different and try to provide something new to their customers. They always try to focus on their R&D department to make new innovations. They always try to provide some comfort to their employees by their fix work timing. After 5 pm employees can go to their home.

Less good things at Sharp

As per the feedback from the employees to sharp, management did not give them very healthy salary according to their work. Sometime sharp also took some bad decisions like to expand their TV business in European countries and they faced loss in their TV business abroad.
