High Quality can be achieved only if the data quality is good and it depends on the factors through which the data is set. In order to make the business successful, high quality information is needed and as conveyed that is possible only if the data maintained possess high quality. Operational Database are also known as On Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) which deals with real time data, the objective is not to just read, write, execute or store data, instead it is required for modifying data in real time. In any store the payment and details of stock is taken care by Operational Database. Supply Chain Management (SCM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) each of the application depends primarily on data because in SCM the details of each and every product and its status is maintained by the database management system. Same goes with ERP where from one point, details of each and every department can be retrieved and analyzed same goes with CRM where the details and records of each and every customer is stored which is an uphill task without database management system. Once an order is placed the details of the order are stored, price, address to be used while delivering, seller, mode of payment and more. Once the order is processed SCM come into the picture and the status of the order is provided to the client. Once the product is delivered the inventory needs to be updated in a proper manner. This is just an overview provided, the internal process is way to complex and requires the help of operational databases too.
