As far as the voting public is concerned the media wall separates the two. The public does not get the details it only gets what the media reveals. The public has voted for that individual. He may belong to the party but the individual is directly answerable to the political party as well as the voting public. But alas, that is a challenge and things do not work that way.

The next issue is power. Since there is no one to guard the guardians they get drunk with power and feel that they are invincible. They can get away with any kind of malpractice.

Finally, the third challenge is people become hypocritical. They can see the hypocrisy in others far more easily but not talk about themselves. So, people feel that they can flout rules for themselves as they are the guardians then that is incorrect. Hence, we need to guard the guardian but it is a challenge as guardians tend to become hypocritical.
