Q2) a) Electronic spreadsheet and its features.
An electronic spreadsheet is an application which helps to organize and store the data in a tabular form with the help of rows and columns. Electronic spreadsheets are basically used for accounting and organize and store data and also to analyze the data. The computerized electronic spreadsheets are the simulations of paper accounting worksheets which are used physically. On top of that electronic spreadsheets allow the use of formulas and display a value based on the contents of other cells and thus is beneficial to automate tasks. Electronic spreadsheets can adjust according to the entered value and formula used, can perform mathematical functions and financial and statistical operations.
b) Outline and discuss features of both spreadsheet and work packages.
As already mentioned above a spreadsheet is a sheet of paper or a document which stores and shows accounting or any data storing them into rows and columns. Spreadsheets help the visibility of the data and the ability to show the relationships graphically, generally comparing all the numerical or small textual data in the spreadsheet document. A work package is the lowest component in a work breakdown structure (WBS) which is a mini project and group the related tasks in a project. Thus work packages are subprojects of bigger projects and are broken down as work packages into smaller tasks so that it can done according to the requirement for example based on geographical area such as different countries, engineering discipline such as IT or CIVIL, based on different technologies, and also time needed to accomplish the tasks according to the time.
