What do you think makes a user interface design bad or good? Find an example for each type. The good design does not have to be uniformly good, and the bad design does not have to be uniformly bad. Examples may be software (desktop, web, mobile apps) or hardware (consumer devices, car dashboards, building entrances, etc). For each interface:

1. Describe the purpose of the interface and its intended users.

2. Analyze its good and bad points according to the 5 measures of usability

3. Support your analysis with appropriate screenshots

Several factors are responsible in making a UI design good or bad. In my opinion, A good user interface design must have below features, lacking any of them will result in poor user interface:-

1.simple interface

2.consistent and purposeful

3.Clarity - In terms of user experience

4. and the list goes on and on and on depending upon the type of domain we are going to work in.

For good UI, I am taking an example of Mobile app whose purpose is to book a cab. It has below features:

- easy usability in which a cab can be booked even without proper internet connection.

-shows all available nearby cabs.

-differentiates different cabs based on their fare charges.

-has option to cancel ride even after booking (but before starting a ride)

-Has instructions tab at each screen of app to guide user, so that even novice can feel experienced.

-etc

So, Judging above model based on 5 parameters:

Example of bad User Interface: When it came to bad UI experience, i could readily think of chatting app- google hangouts whose features are already known to everyone. So, coming to analyse good/bad points :
