As we all know, with the growth of the Internet comes the reduction in privacy. All our personal data (financial, health, criminal, etc.) is stored in databases around the world. George Orwell in his book "1984", said that by the 1980's personal privacy will be a thing of the past. How close is that to being true in 2018? What should we as citizens do to protect our privacy? There have been discussions on how Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and other social media sites have sold your information to other entities. How do you think this should be handled? What should your expectation of privacy be on the Internet?

In 2018 it is true that personal privacy is a thing of past. Our privacy is not safe on internet, our sensitive personal data is not safe today. George Orwell book "1984" said true lines about this and much close now. Very much close that now our data has been breached by any of means. Government, hackers, social sites all are stolen our private data. We are survilliance by someone all the time on internet.

As citizens we should protect our privacy by reading all the terms and condition regarding our data on different websites and social sites. If there any unwanted privacy breach term or use than we should not agree that term and most probably not using that websites. For our financial data we should not disclose to it on any website. We should use firewalls on internet. Do not click on any suspicious link or mail. Do not share personal information or data to anyone on internet.

Government shoud take action against the social media sites because they sold our private data to different comapanies. A very hard law needed into this scenerio. The surchages will be very high if socail sites do these things. Also there will be some very hard imprsionment to those person who runs these companies. Data privacy clouses are must for not being stolen data by any of these social sites.

My expectaion of privacy on the internet is simply hidden in the word privacy no one be able to track my activity on internet. My personal data will be always safe. My online transaction will be fullproff. No one will be able to breach my private data.
