The link above is 1.2.

Only the axioms of reference 1.2 are preloaded here, automatic associativity and symmetry are enabled, and use of Evaluation is disabled Prove the following theorems directly, without inserting other theorems or changing their sequence. (You may use references to earlier theorems in later theorems as usual. In this notebook, however, this is unlikely to be useful) In each hint, only one theorem reference is allowed (but that theorem may be applied more than once in that step) Each of these theorems can easily be shown in less than ten steps. Theorem "A1a": - (a+- b) Proof: Theorem "Ala": - (a+-b) bt-a Proof: ba -CalcCheck: Proof: No proof there! 2,8

Explanation / Answer

Left Hand Side(LHS) : -(a + -b)

Applying distributive property that is -(a + b) = -a - b

therefore -(a +-b) = -a + b.

Which is equal to b - a or b + -a = RHS.

Hence proved.

3) LHS = a * (-b) = (-a) * b which is equal to -(a * b) = RHS.

Hence proved
