Please read Chapter Two of Society and Technological Change: Winners and Losers: The Differential Effects of Technological Change.

Once complete, please reflect upon, and craft a response to the following: (this is a two part discussion)

Part One:

Technological advancement has often undermined established business and economic models. Most recently, the rise of internet-based e-commerce businesses has destroyed numerous brick-and-mortar retail firms, and continues to threaten others. Can you think of other business enterprises that the internet may damage or even destroy?

Part Two:

Should anything be done to prevent this from happening? Is the overall positive effect greater than the negative? Should anything be done to support those displaced by technological advancement?

Please allow for sufficient time in reflecting upon these questions. Craft your response and provide narratives to support.

These discussions will begin the process of thinking and reflecting upon technology in both a critical and analytical manner. Begin to look beyond the ideas of good vs evil, right vs wrong, and begin to consider the construct and nature, the system and process, of technology.

Part One:

Other business enterprises that the internet may damage or even destroy:

1. NewsPaper Business: Today, in much of the world, newspapers have lost their sheen. Because we get all the news in the internet nowadays. we do have lot of applications for news which allows us to read news anywhere and anytime. Any latest news can be read online and we don't have to wait until next day for the newspaper.

2. Film and Music Industry: With the internet the rise of piracy has threatened the entire film industry. Due to digitalization hackers can access the data of the Entertainment industries and leak all the music and films etc. that leads to huge loss.

3. Transportation: Due to these various private transportation like uber, ola etc., governement buses are loosing it's demand. Earlier people used to rely on public transport, but now in the metropolitan cities most of the popel rely on the uber or ola cabs.

Part Two:

There is lot of negative effect than positive effect. Take an insatnce of brick-and-mortar retail firms when there was no internet and no online grocery shop, people had to go to shops and buy the things. In this case people had lot of opportunity to make new freinds interact with the shop keepers or people around exchange information and so on.

So there should be some initiative taken where in, we can educate those people who are displaced by the internet and technology. We can explain them about the internet and how does it work how can it be beneficial for them and also how can they earn better if they start adopting it.

In this way we can educate people about the digitization, but there is an adverse effect on the human health. Since humans are using internet in there mobile phones, tablets or ipad for things like shopping, communication, watching movies or serials etc. we are exposed to harmful radiations that affects our health we are exposed to lot of diseases like vision problem, cardiac problmes and many more.

Internet and advanced technology has both positive and negative effects on humans.

We have to use electronic gadgets to minimal and emergency use not to use it 24/7.
