Self-assessment #2: Myers-Briggs assessment

http://www.humanmetrics.com/personality

1. Do you agree with your overall classification after completing the Myers-Briggs? Are there behaviors that you see in yourself that fit your Myers-Briggs classification?

2. The textbook gives a positive spin to all of the classifications so identify potential problems or concerns someone with your classification might have in relation to being a leader in an organization.

3. What do you feel the best leader profile would be (even if it’s not yours) Why? What types of people (using the MBTI classifications as a base) do you feel you’d have the hardest time managing/leading? Explain.

Explanation / Answer

1. As far as the classification is concerned the 16 different personality type is beautifully depicted in Myer's Brigg indicator. but the way this classification is done based on some questions is not proper, according to me. An instinct based answer can't define my personality.

I am an INTJ as per the indicator.

2. I am an introvert, so don't usually approach every people I wish to talk, which is bad as I go up the corporate ladder and I am trying to improve on that.

3. A leader needs to communicate a lot, get along with others. In other words a leader needs to sell himself a lot in order to good in other's perception, get business for the organization and answer to everybody in the organization. Self proclamation is often necessary. According to me ENTJ suits the purpose quite well. A person with this kind of personality is an out spoken extrovert, intuition based, judgement dependent and a though leader. Aprt from that he/she should have the qualities pertaining to other four dominant functions.
