Question
. Topic 2 (20 points): Possible flaw You recently completed a major environmental project for a customer. The deliverable was accepted and your company has been paid. Later, while working on a new project for the same customer, you noticed a possible flaw in the disposal system that was delivered for the earlier project. What would you do first and next (two actions)? Support each action with one clause from PMI and one from IEEE COE. State the name of the COE, the clause text and how it supports your action.Explanation / Answer
Its better to be honest than to have a wrong impression. If I get to know the possible flaws on the delivered project than I will firstly ask for the feedback of the project if it was working fine and it wasn’t a major flaws then I will provide option to the client weather they want to remove the flaws instantly or want to remove the flaws on the next update of the system.
If it is a major flaws than I will humble provide complete details to the client and take responsibility to remove the flaws and the responsibility to provide user a complete project without any issue remaining.
As a token of promising I will also reduce some of my fees from the second project that was currently ongoing.
If we talk about IEEE COE clauses that support my action is to seek, accept, and offer honest criticism of technical work, to acknowledge and correct errors,
If we talk about PMI clauses that support my action is honesty .It is our duty to understand the current situation /reality and to act in a truthful manner in our communication and our actions.
