Question

Hello, I am working with Oracle Express Edition 11g.

It is my first time using it, and I am very confused. I'll try to explain my question the best way I can.

For my assignment, I need to type SQL commands for a table I uploaded. But I can't figure out how to do this.

Here is my page with my scripts that I uploaded:

I am supposed type commands for the OracleTAL table. So I clicked "run" to run that script. After running it, I get this:

I click "run now." and I get this:

I click on the script, and it brings me to this:

But I need to enter commands, and I don't know how to enter commands for a table that I uploaded. I know no one can probably answer this, but it's worth a shot. Please tell me if I am doing something wrong.

Explanation / Answer

Answer)

It seems like you are using the Oracle SQL Workshop.

In the first step what you have done is, that you have uploaded and executed the scrips to create the tables. Thus OracleTAL table was created.

The thing is OracleTAL.sql has the creation script for the OracleTAL table. As it is already created, you need no go visit that again after once.

Your question as I get it is that how can you query the database or tables, for example, the OracleTAL table you just created.

When you click or hover on SQL Workshop, you'll get options as:

Object browser

SQL commands

SQL Scripts, etc.

Click on -> SQL Commands.

A new page will open with a command editor and a display panel.

Here you can enter SQL queries, select the schema, and view the results.
