Eight Elements of Thought and Reasoning

There are eight elements of thought in reasoning. We often use more than one element at the same time. For example, your Point of View includes Assumptions. Therefore, we can assume that these elements are two aspects of the same thing.

Analyze the parts of thought and reasoning and re-organize the eight elements into four distinct categories by pairing elements together similar to the example above. Briefly describe each new category you created and present your reasoning for each category. Include the characteristics of the original eight elements in your descriptions and reasoning.

Purpose/point of view
Purpose:
Your purpose is your goal, your objective,what you are trying to accomplish. We also use the term to include functions, motives, and intentions.You should be clear about your purpose, and your purpose should be justifiable.

Point of view:
Point of view is literally “the place” from which you view something. It includes what you are looking at and the way you are seeing it. Make sure you understand the limitations of your point of view and that you fully consider other relevant viewpoints.

Purpose and point of view were placed into one new category because:
Purpose and point of view set the stage if the questions while conducting a search for facts or even interested in a specific topic

Information/concepts:
Information:
Information includes the facts, data, evidence, or experiences we use to figure things out. It does not necessarily imply accuracy or correctness.The information you use should be accurate and relevant to the question or issue you are addressing.

Concept:
Concepts are ideas, theories, laws, principles, or hypotheses we use in thinking to make sense of things.Be clear about the concepts you are using and use them justifiably.

Informationn and concepts were placed into one new category because:
Information and concepts to me is the fact finding mission that u set out on to confirm or deny your train of thought. Also it is the foundation that u stand on in a conversation thinking process or etc. Everything you do is tied to this information and the concept is the way your format that info befor u present it to others.

Implications and Consequences/Assumptions:
Implications and Consequences:
Implications are claims or truths that logically follow from other claims or truths. Implications follow from thoughts. Consequences follow from actions.
Implications are inherent in your thoughts, whether you see them or not. The best thinkers think through the logical implications in a situation before acting.

Assumptions:
Assumptions are beliefs you take for granted. They usually operate at the subconscious or unconscious level of thought.Make sure that you are clear about your assumptions and they are justified by sound evidence.

All of these three to me are your own idea of what u have digested from reading,hearing and can have bad or good consequences if presented to others but the way it it presented can help you gain more info or place in i exile space where others no longer want to share with you

Questions at issue:
The question lays out the problem or issue and guides our thinking. When the question is vague, our thinking will lack clarity and distinctness.The question should be clear and precise enough to productively guide our thinking.

Interpretation and Inference:
Inferences are interpretations or conclusions you come to. Inferring is what the mind does in figuring something out.Inferences should logically follow from the evidence. Infer no more or less than what is implied in the situation.

I placed these together because i feel that your line of questioning helps you discover what your interpretation is there for posing more questions or providing anwers that flow with the facts you have found out with your research.
I feel that the purpose and point of pint of fiew set the stage for your questioning as well as the reasoning why your conducting a search for facts or even interested in a specific topic at all.
