When a patient is hospitalised and in the final stage of their life, in the olden days the doctors used to inform the relatives or parents about the situation of the employee and carry on with what they feel the best. But now the laws are made in a way that the doctors can only suggest what to be done and it is the authority of the family members to decide what to do. If any mistake is made in this procedure ,huge penalties are levied on the hospital as well as the doctor. Eveb if a patient dies during treatment, vakid reason must be given for the death. The arw both advantages and disadvantages with this method . The disadvanatges can be life threatening . Hence it is better to take the opinion of doctors in such situations and do what they suggest because they will know the situation more than us.
