Answer the following questions and cite your sources if you had to look the questions up:

Answer the following questions related to the Hyper-V virtual machine creation lab. Copy and paste these questions into a Microsoft Word document, then answer the questions and submit your completed answer file. Your answers should cite the source of the information that was used to answer the question. Remember to answer the questions with complete sentences. What guest operating systems does Microsoft say that Hyper-V will support? Will Hyper-V allow you to use any virtual disk formats other than Microsoft's VHD format? If you wanted to connect one of your virtual machines to the physical network that the Hyper-V host is connected to, what would you need to do? Assuming that you wanted to create a virtual machine without using a pre-configured virtual hard disk template file, what options does Hyper-V's New Virtual Machine Wizard provide? What is the difference between Generation 1 and Generation 2 VMs? What are some potential problems you might encounter when attempting to install a non-Microsoft operating system into a Hyper-V virtual machine? Based on your answer for question 6, can you identify any reasons why the specific distribution and version of Linux used in the lab was selected? Describe some potential advantages of using Hyper-V as a virtualization platform. Assuming that the IT operations of your organization were a heterogeneous environment which included a variety of operating systems, what might be some potential limitations of using Hyper-V as a virtualization platform? Is there a way to create a Hyper-V virtual machine other than using the New Virtual Machine Wizard? If so, what is it? Look through the settings options for one of your virtual machines. What options does Hyper-V provide for over-provisioning resources on the Hyper-V host or dynamically allocating additional resources to the guest VM on demand?

Explanation / Answer

1)Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2.

2)Hyper-V in Windows Server 2012 introduces a new version of the VHD format called VHDX.

3)use Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) to configure logical networks for your environment,
step is to assign the logical networks to physical network adapters on one or more hosts

4)a)Create new VM without the disks, select New then choose Virtual Machine
-> Next -> Finish.

b) Browse to template VM folder and copy the VHDX file locally.

c)Rename the copied VHDX to be the same as the virtual machine you have just created.
