Question

For an excel project I was given data for 20 countries. The data includes name of country, amount of guns per 100 people, total firearm-related deaths per 100,000 people, and population: It looks like this: Country Guns per 100 people Total Firearm-related deaths per 100,000 people Population

United States 88.8 10.2 319259000 I am supposed to create two more columns. One representing the actual number of guns per country, and the second one representing the actual firearm-related deaths for each country. How am I able to calculate these? Is there a formula to use? (Thanks in advance for your help)

Explanation / Answer

yes there is the formula in excel as follows:

=PRODUCT(B,D)/100.

B being Guns per 100 people column and D is the population .

Hence you will get the required result in the column in which you are applying.
