Last week, a disk containing CSM Tech Publishing's current project manuscripts crashed. Fortunately, there was a backup, but all files that had been added or changed that day were lost. A new disk had to be purchased for overnight delivery, and the data had to be restored. Several days of work time were lost. The owner of CSM Tech wants to know what can be done to prevent the loss of data and time if a disk crashes in the future. The server currently has two disks installed: one for the Windows boot and system volumes and one for manuscript files. The disk used for manuscript files is about one-third full. Hard Disk failure may occure in two ways.
(i) Physical Hard drive failure
(ii) Logical Hard drive failure
In case of physical hard drive failure, Water, heat and shock all are serious threats to internal and external hard drives. Hard disk are not shock proof.Hard disk shock most often results in a head crash.

In case of logical failure, A logical failure occurs when the hard drive is healthy but you cannot boot your operating system. Logical failure can be due to some virus, driver conflicts, human error or software malfunctions. So in this case you can not start your system.So the best idea here is to keep your computer error free by defragmenting the drive, checking it for errors and repairing them, managing the registry carefully and be careful what files you delete.
To overcome from hard disk failure you must control the temperature of your system. One of the solution is that, you can save your data on cloud storage in encrypted format so it will not effect your data in case of hard disk failure.
