Some companies clearly have not lived up to that standard such as those that pollute the lands where people live and causing illness, those that callously lay off individuals without dignity, and those that do not follow employment laws and mistreat their workers by having them work long hours with little pay. As an employee (manager or owner) of a company, how would you address the social and economic problems facing society (I know the problems are too massive to solve, but what part do you believe you can play in helping solve these issues)?

Explanation / Answer

Taking society for granted by industries has been going on for long now. They have exploited Political, Social, Environmental and economic aspects in every which way possible. As an employee, manager or owner of a company I would be concentrating on all the above highlighted aspects.

Keeping in mind the social aspect, corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been made by many countries for all kind of companies operating in that particular country where some percentage of their profit they need to invest for the social welfare of the society maybe through investing in goverment schools or helping in upliftment of women etc. So as a owner of the company I would be honest enough to take CSR activities very seriously and hence contribute to the society.

Keeping in mind the economic problems, when starting a company I need to focus on generating maximum employment hence contributing back to the economic aspect of the nation. Countries economy is directly impacted employment of that nation and hence we need to focus on that.
