Subject: A quick brief about myself
Dear Sir,
Let me begin with expressing my sincerest gratitude for allowing me to introduce myself. I assure you I will not take up much of your time and provide you the necessary details in as concise a manner as possible.
I have come to know that you are looking to cast characters for a play and you want to shortlist candidates on the basis of an introductory letter after which you will take their auditions.
To begin with let me state that I am keenly interested to try my hand out in this play. I love reading books; especially literature and prose where I try to understand the underlying meaning of the stories written. This helps in understanding the real reason behind the actions of the character as well as the thought process of the writer. Literature coms second nature to me. The text need not be in syllabus for me to read. If I can get hold of a book I read it. Similarly, I feel I do not need to study for Literature examinations I am usually prepared and up to the task.
As far as the skill sets go my command over the language helps me in understanding the text better and deciphering it in a way that can portray the inner meaning of the prose.
I have very deep values which have mushroomed with my exposure to society religion and different environment. This helps me in understanding different cultures and thought processes. This way I can do justice to the character if I can relate to the values of the character so that I can bring him out to the audience more eloquently.
I would be honored if you gave me a chance to audition and portray my interests, skills and values. I am sure I will not disappoint you.
Thanking you,
Sincerely,
Ted Mosbey
