Explanation / Answer
friend first of all it has asked your opinion and your point of view on it and How my point of view be same as of yours, but however still i am answering your question keeping me in your position.
Mr. Wiesfeld's observation and his proposed traits greatly describes a good programmer,I have never been a good programmer in my student days but had the passion to know about this when i first encountered it,i showed persistence in solving codes forming algorithms struggled every time but tried hard to solve those problems and many times i succeded also which gave a sense of pleasure and satisfaction but it had never became a hobby for me thats why i am not able to relate programmers to other people, don't have out of the box thinking may be i had lost enthusiasm over the years on these traints i don't allign with Mr. Wiesfeld ,so i am claiming i m not a "good programmer".So, i need to improve on these traits.
for me it's optional as i am not so crazy about programming that i will everytime think about it but for "good programmers" like some of my friends there is no 'optional' term for programming for them.
I feel these traits are not not only related to only programming field but also every person related to any field who wants to lead a good life, a person possessing these traits can nicely balance his worklife and public life in society and society or a person having such traits can influence positively to both of them it will have an inducive effect and make societies to prosper well.
as discussed, these traits helps a person to lead a balance social life free from negativity, boredom, frustration, this thing has only got possible due to day to day advancements in technology of any fields, emergence of newer areas or fields(including programming, entertainment, music etc.) has resulted into societies being more fascinated towards these areas and helped developing these traits.
So, technology, newer areas has also an impact on the society.
and a highly passionate, motivated, creative, persistent person or a society (of these persons) can not only contribute to its economic growth but also for its organisation as well as its nation's better future.
