please help me answer this question for a cyber secuirty/computer science class in great detail;

Productivity versus security: many information security professionals see the value and need of a refined security procedures, maintenance, and least privilege; but in industry there may be pushback on the value of in-depth security when already protected by several "security in depth" procedures. It can be argued that productivity, cost, and ease of use can be harmed by implementation of "unnecessary" features and security, labeling security as "always in the way". Is there validity to this idea? When is security in depth outweighed by productivity? What are the potential risks for having an extreme security policy? How can a middle ground, be reached, that serves all parts of the CIA triad (aka “CIA properties”), and who would take part in the discussion?

ITs main purpose is to make the employees as productive,efficient and effective.
in ITs they choose both productivity and security.
When security is around productivity will disappears.
And when productivity shows up the scene ,security has break.
Now a days organizations has cloud computing,social networking and mobile computing.
all these depends on ratchet up security concerns.
unreasonable product demands drives the workers to take careless shortcuts.
failure to model with accountability will security for lapses.
