Question
A ______________ is the term used for the length of information (in bits) that an
individual processor can process at one time.
A __________________ is 2^30 bytes (approximately one billion).
Considering the 5 main hardware components of a typical computer, a built-in DVD
disk drive is an example of which component?
Briefly explain why an algorithmic approach rather than an analytical approach is
often used for engineering problem solving.
The area of a rectangle is its base length multiplied by its height. If the base length is
given as 1.0756 inches and its height is given as 0.00120 feet, the area should be reported with a
precision of _________ significant digits. (Fill in an integer number)
List and briefly describe two steps of Problem Analysis.
List and briefly describe the two important tools for Program Design.
Explanation / Answer
A. a CPU SCHEDULER is the term used for the length of information (in bits) that an
an individual processor can process at one time and it can even apply for threads.
B. A 1GB = 2^30 BYTES = 1 billion bytes
Considering the 5 main hardware components of a typical computer, a built-in DVD
disk drive is an example of CD-ROM component
In the world of computer programming there is some called as analysis and there is something called flow chart analysis to solve the complex problems.
From my point of view Algorithm analysis will give you the step by step solution in accordance with the flow chart analysis to solve the computer engineering problems.
Analytical approach talks about the proof of the complex problems you can only analyze the problem when you have the proof to prove it.
I think step by step analysis is better than analytical approach and its way is simple so that layman can understand.
AREA = 1.0756*0.00120 = 0.00129 * 1.0756 = 0.00138 = APPROX in Integer is 0
Problem analysis:
a. Understanding the requirements:When you get on any software product development you will have to understand the overall architecture to solve the problem
b.case study document: When you are done with the understanding its good to write down all the requirements within a single document and after that go on developing the prototypes for that.
Program Design:
a.IDE: for any of the program design its good to respective language compilers which is embedded with the editor.
b.Language selection: Any program you design the syntaxes are common only there is necessity to understand that is "In which language program should be designed "
