Interpersonal skills: The leader should know how to interact with the subordinated and manage an uneasy situation without fuss. So the communication skills and body language are very important.

Decision makings skills: The leader should be able to take calls quickly when in ambiguity. Should be able to judge and identify the right person when there is a misunderstanding in the team.

Negotiation skills: The leader should know how to convince people or persuade them to follow the right thing when thee employees are not on the right track. A leader deals with a lot of people at work so it is important to know how to negotiate and get things done quickly.

Strategic thinking: Analyzing a problem from various perspectives is very important for the leader to make a better decision. The team members might suggest 100 different things but the leaders need to come up with the final decision based on his strategic thinking ability.

Team building skills: The leader should build a good team and guide them towards achieving a common goal. He/She must be good to the team members and encourage them to excel in this work by identifying the right talent.
