You are working for an engineering firm that has extensive global operations. Administration wants you to develop a formula (remember that they are engineers!) that lists what factors need to be considered when deciding where (home versus host country) international business decisions need to be made. You may also want to weight each factors to wow the audience. Provide a brief explanation of your formula as well.

The factors need to be considered while making a decision between home or host country.

Explanation / Answer

While in global operations we often face dilemma whether to operate from home country or some other country. For this we need to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of both. We need to check some factors of both the countries like manpower availability , market conditions, price of the product etc., So our formula must be the sum of all these factors and the country which gets the final score out of 10 will be our choice. For this to work out we need extensive research about botht he countries .
