An information system doesn't only mean a computer system but various articles,news papers and many more. Now a days,it us very easy for us to store data in computerised systems or electronic devices or hard disks which we can backup and restore in case failure. Information systems providing root to information technology.let us now discuss about Information technology.
Information technology: Now a days,information technology has become a base of everything which has been used by various organisations,cyber analytics,database administration,corporate offices,banks,hospitals. Information technology is the subset of information systems that store information in the machine itself. Information technology includes both hardware and software,databases and networking . It is the acquiring information from various heterogeneous sources,store and process to meet business needs.Now one can say that both IS and IT has tremendous growth in our country that are offering huge job opportunities.
b)Various managerial challenges of Information technology:
There are various challenges.let us discuss each one of them:
1)Recruitment of productive employees : A company should hire a professional who is well educated and talented and who do not violate a company's policy. He should not share his personal information with any of his colleagues or higher authorities and he should disclose companies information to outside any of the sources.
2)Vision of CEO : CEO IS the heart and soul of a company where one can manage his entire company .His ability to connect with his/her employees has a large impact on relations between company and employees. There must be continuous interaction of ceo with the company staff to understand each and every problem. There should be multiway communication channels has to be present. They have to regonise employees for their talent and hard work which helps staff to get promoted . There should be continuous monitoring and interaction must be there.
3)Developing management skills in executives: The delivery of information to the staff must be in concise and precise manner. one can easily ask if he has any doubt. There should continous improvement of various technologies to the staff must be encouraged and they should be interested in learning new technologies.Necessary trainings has to be conducted in order to achieve targets.
4)our communication with customers: This has the large challenge in IT industry because the ultimate goal of an organization is to satisfy clients need by which customers get satisfied. They must know the interests of customers to achieve their needs.Customers feedback is the backbone of IT by which we can analyse whether a company can withsatnad in IT sector or not. That's the power of customers.
5) Using latest technology and resources: Now a days technology has been improving a lot. One must learn new technologies to reduce the burden of the work. Also New technologies aiming at easy and efficient throughput by which one can easily understand a technoloy and can implement it.
