Generally Erdiagram depicts only the static behaviour which is a structural view. But the class will have static and behavioral views which means classes also despicts behaviour as well as with structure.

Classes can share all the properties of erd's.

Erd's only deal with the real world examples only. For example if we are drawing erd for the college database. Then each and every entity in that is an real world object like student, college, subject, teacher etc like this.

And the relationships also we can depict in classes but with different representation. Entities will have attributes and this entity will became a class in class diagram and this attributes will becames memebers in the class. But in classes there will be functions for this memebers also.
