Intermodal shipping can be defined as a method of moving cargo that involves more than one medium of transportation. It could be truck, ship or a rail or even includes their transportation. This type of transportation uses special containers to transport the specific shipment from reality truck as well as from truck to ships without having any requirement to change the outer Packaging of the specific shipment. It provides flexibility in terms of shipping the most common type of intermodal Shipping is truck and real based intermodal shipping structure.
