a) Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, wants your advice about its nascent Apple Pay platform. What should Apple do to make the Apple Pay platform successful? How should Apple evolve the Apple Pay platform in the future?

Based on the 3x3 cloud-computing grid we discussed in class, which areas of the cloud-computing grid should Microsoft focus on? What cloud computing related products and services should it offer? Briefly justify your choice(s).

When I discussed social network analysis in class, I asked you to think about potential applications of the method. For any organization of your choice, briefly describe how it can use social network analysis. Specifically, describe the network they should analyze (what are the nodes and the edges in the network), how it can use the centrality measures, and what insights it can gain through such analysis.

Explanation / Answer

Apple Pay: When using a phone: by swiping up from the bottom of the display (on either the sleep or home screens) the apple pay app will launch and your default card will appear along with a message to authenticate a payment with their fingerprint. If a different card is needed, a simple left or right swipe will bring up others stored in your phone.

To make apple pay successful, using NFC to pay bills is not enough, apple has to use the new technology called MST(Magnetic Strip Technology).

MST allows a contactless payment to be made with terminals that do not feature NFC readers, which opens up a lot more retailers to the payment tech. It can also send the payment information to conventional terminals in stores that have the old-fashioned magnetic strip instead. Secound thing if the apple has to make apple pay popular they have to give some offers and deals so that people get to know how effiecent and easy is to pay from apple pay.

For future firstly, apple should launch apple pay in more countries because right now apple pay is available in few countries and apple should talk to bank and get some crazy deals which will helps the apple pay to grow more.

Grid Computing: Grid computing is a technology used to harness computing powers from various sources and use them in harmony to achieve a specific goal.The great advantage of grid computing is the ability to significantly reduce the time that is taken to accomplish that goal, thereby increasing efficiency.

Microsoft has many great software products which provides great work and are very good productivity. All the microsoft application/software provide the options of cloud service to store the data of user. But if the microsoft has to use the grid coud computing there are many applications which can be used like weather forecasting, applocation for rendering the large animation videos. Microsoft should focus on these two application because market of these applications are very large and coming for the company like microsoft it will be very popular. Every user which has smartphone are using a weather app and by using technology of grid computing weather application can show the weather more accurately. Large animation rendering application are useful for big companies who are making movies and for this application microsoft can charge high amount and it is very good project for the financial point of view.  

Social Network Analysis: Suppose we have fashion organization, so for the fashion brand the traget social networks are facebook and instagram. In these social media platform we will target the audience according to our interest. Firstly we will see the country where our brand is located after that we will filter the age group people and if we want we can add another filter like if we want to add people from the specific region of specific country.

By doing all these things not only you are saving the organization money on ads but also you are showing ads to the specific target audience which the organization is been looking.
