Hi,

In a homework problem it wants me to go through all of the register-reference instructions. I am stuck on this part. According to solutions manual, after the CIR instruction this is what the contents of each will be. When I did circulate right shift of AC and E I got 549B and enable = to 8. Since AC = 1010 1001 0011 0111 and E = 0000 result after shift should be AC = 0101 0100 1001 1011 and E = 1000?

Also, if I did a CIL right after, shouldn't I get A937 again?

Yes,
if you apply CIL right after CIR ,you will AC = A937 and E =0 but remaining other registers may change
