Question

I am having some trouble answering these questions I was able to answer the first one. My topic is BANKING.

1.How would we be harmed if the asset became widely public and widely distributed?

Security. The confidentiality and security of financial and personal data and mission-critical applications is paramount. Banks cannot afford the risk of a security breach.

Regulatory and compliance. Many banking regulators require that financial data for banking customers stay in their home country. Certain compliance regulations require that data not be intermixed with other data, such as on shared servers or databases. As a result, banks must have a clear understanding of where their data resides in the cloud.

2. How would we be harmed if an employee of our cloud provider accessed the asset?

3. How would we be harmed if the process or function were manipulated by an outsider?

4. How would we be harmed if the process or function failed to provide expected results?

5.How would we be harmed if the information/data were unexpectedly changed?

6.How would we be harmed if the asset were unavailable for a period of time?

Explanation / Answer

2.) If an employee of our cloud provider accessed the asset then it is very harmful for banking system.Essentially we are assessing confidentiality, integrity, and availability requirements for the asset;and how those are affected if all or part of the asset is handled in the cloud. It’s very similar to assessing a potential outsourcing project, except that with cloud computing we have a wider arrayof deployment options, including internal models.

Our data and confidential information can be accessed or used if an employee of our cloud provider accessed the asset.

3.) If the process or function were manipulated by an outsider then we would not be abkle to get actual information of our data. This can mislead us and can lead to many mishappenings. The content we want to access cannot be accessed and the function we want to perform cannot be perfomed. This can cause a serious damage to our money and work.

4.) When we perfoem a function then we wants to get a desired output which can incease our performance. In banking syastem when a function failed to provide excepted results such as transaction failure etc. then some serious issues may arise resulting to the loss of money or data.

5.) Always monitor the state and status of the data at all points during the use and movement of the data in and out of the cloud. Use data-at-rest encryption techniques for the data stored in the cloud as well. If the information/data were unexpectedly changed then there may be loss inthe desired output and result. This can lead to the degradation in performance.

6.)The cloud provides dramatic availability for data access from anywhere. If the asset were unavailable for a period of time then there should not be the smooth functioning of work that we are expecting and the work will go for a halt for a period of time.
