Person A: leadership is leading the members with proper guiding and gaining respect. I believe that an effective leader is the one who gains respect of his followers or members and listen to him and followed his instructions.

person B: leadership is born capability, which helps to improve others and reach the set goals. I believe that effective leadership is innate capability which makes a person help others to grow and work by facilitating them in necessary areas and to achieve organisation goals.

Person C: leadership is an ability to manage and involve member, facilitate them, empower them and guide them to do their tasks to get best results. I believe that effective leader is the one who considers every other members and strive to complete tasks on time with effectiveness.

Person D: leadership means leading the members and controlling their every activity, having strict rules and regulations to keep them effective and high performing. I believe that leadership should have a proper control and authority over tasks and members behaviour so that the end results can be met.

Person E: leadership involves managing diverse workforce, helping them with training and guidance, empowering and considering their efforts, aligning their personal goals with the goals of team and organisation and helping each other to achieve the set long term goals.

1) every individual has his or her own perception and views, and the same can be found in their definitions. Every person has defined definition differently, as per their opinions and understanding about the insight of the leadership. To one it is a born capabilities, to one it means to lead with full control, and other it refers to leading with empowering and facilitating the team.

2) the common definition can be regarded as , leadership is capability to lead and manage diverse group of members, by facilitating them, guiding and empowering them, involving and appraising them, and earning respect, and aligning the goals of individuals with team and organisation to achieve the long term goals and objectives.

3) some individuals described leadership in a way which is very different from what I believe, I don't think that leadership needs a strict and rigid rules and regulations, or to have a tight control over the work and members. It will lead to discouraging creativity and innovation and fear of not completing tasks as per the instructions. And leadership is not only to gain respect, it requires mutual dependency and engagement with the work.

4) according to these individuals perspective, person D And E have definition of leadership which is closer to my understanding and opinions, because I do believe that an effective leader require to lead with compassion, facilitate them and train thing to keep motivated, involving and empowering them to stay committed and engaged with the work, team and organisation.
