hi,
To take the existing data from the another worksheet, connection should be done. Steps to be followed are:
step 1: in the destination worksheet, choose Data->connection, WorkBook Dialog box appears,choose ADD Button, it shows an another window Existing connection window
step 2: Existing connection window choose Browse for more button , choose the location of the source worksheet.
step 3: After adding the worksheet close the window.
step 4: In the destination worksheet choose, Data->Existing connection, it displays Existing Connection Window . In this window choose source worksheet(already added in step 2)
step 5: choose Pivot Table Report, in the displayed Pivot table Field List, choose the column, row and and filter required for analysis(by drag and drop method).
step 6: displays the table from the existing data.
